Factory relocation project
In December 2011 and July 2012, Ether Optoelectronics relocated its Suzhou factory to its Shenzhen facility. The project included equipment dismantling, hoisting and lowering, crating, loading and transporting, and unloading for relocation. Most ether equipment is precision equipment, requiring crating. Transportation was by land, using containers. The entire project involved a long timeframe, involved delicate equipment, and operated in a cleanroom. The company invested a significant amount of personnel and specialized machinery, developed a detailed construction plan, and implemented a comprehensive project management process to ensure the safety of the equipment. The company also insured the equipment and labor throughout the relocation process to fully protect the interests of employees and customers.
